    Bluetooth usb adapter

    Hi,

I'm using Kubuntu 20.04 LTS with kernel 5.4. I have this Bluetooth usb adapter

    http://www.orico.cc/us/product/detail/7218.html

    I installed driver from here
as this company has an adapter with the same chip (RTL8761B).

    https://www.xmpow.com/pages/download

At first it didn't work, then I tried disabling secure boot and it worked. Is it safe? If not, is it possible to make this work with secure boot? Kernel update? Or is it because of the driver?

Anyway, if you have any recommendations on Bluetooth chip that works with kernel 5.4 that would be great.

    Thanks

Thanks. So is it better not to disable secure boot?

As far as your computer is concerned, Secure boot enabled/disabled is almost always not a problem. Some distros may be affected by Secure boot, most don't care one way or another. As you have found out, with some hardware accessories it matters. The "better" part of enabling/disabling is very conditional.
