Problem detecting correct monitor resolution after update

Hi, My kubuntu 20.04.04 recently update and after that no longer recognize the max resolution supported from my monitor (1920 x 1024)
If I go to settings > Monitor settings the max resolution I see is 1024 x 768
The funny thing is that before the update it works perfectly.

Any idea what could happened and how to solve it?

Hi! I use my Kubuntu in a usb 3.1 external hard drive, so I connect it to several pcs and never had problem with resolution and monitor detection. I'd been using it like that for many yars now.
The monitor in my work is the same and till yesterday it works ok. After an update this problem appears.
I can get the video card used but sin not any special. Is the one included in the motherboard in this case

We can't help much not knowing which video card(s) are involved.
This is often a driver issue, and normally with some Nvidia cards. And maybe moving between different hardware/drivers required on each system IS the issue, and you have just been lucky until now

Do you have an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file? If so, post the contents.
