    [Post-Install] KDE Theme for RESTORATION of KDE3.x color, and brightness, and remove the gulag KDE4 and later stuff...

    I am used to KDE having color, and being bright and not this gulag black and white look that took over in KDE 4 and later..

    When ever I reboot the 14.04 machine I have for some reason or look at its GUI and see the BRIGHT COLORFUL look of it.. I get annoyed when comparing to current releases..

    I miss that look, and even the BOUNCING ICONS on the boot screen from KDE3.. yeah I know its not likely that its booted too often to see.. but still...

    I've searched for something that would bring that back vs the drab gulag theme and look of current KDE releases...

    Any one got a theme that brings back this look

    Thanks!

      I don't know what Kubuntu 14.04 looked like but I remember one version that was like the Aero of Windows Vista. I remember when placing the mouse on the X or maximize button, there would be a glow around the button.

      I use a sort of Win 95 look. Look at the image above.
      For the icons, I use something called Memphis98.

      For the windows decorations, I use Application Style -> Fusion
      Plasma Style -> Oxygen
      Windows Decoration -> Plastik

      Active windows, I make the caption bar bright blue.
      Deactivated windows, I make the caption bar grey, just like it was on Win 95.

      OS=Kubuntu 24.04 CPU=Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz L3 = 32 MB RAM=24 GB
      GPU=AMD RX 6800 16 GB
      HDD=It's not 1 TB. It's 931 GB. Do the math!
      For Ubuntu/Kubuntu, get rid of the Spectre crap mitigations to get full CPU performance.Run lscpu. Notice the lines starting with Vulnerability. Do you have the word "mitigation". That's bad. Edit the file /etc/default/grub. You might find the line that says
