[System] Installing XWayland on Kubuntu > how?

As I’d also like to use Xscreensaver in the Wayland session, I’d like to know from you how to install XWayland in Kubuntu, and whether Xscreensaver will then work with it.

XWayland is normally already installed with a Kubuntu Plasma Wayland installation
    you can check with
    Code:
    apt policy xwayland
if it is not installed , then
    Code:
    sudo apt install xwayland
However, XWayland doesn't make XScreenSaver fully compatible with Wayland. XScreenSaver is fundamentally an X11 application, and its traditional screen-locking mechanism cannot work properly under Wayland. Newer XScreenSaver versions have some Wayland support for things such as blanking and DPMS, but not secure screen locking.

So if the goal is specifically XScreenSaver animations/blanking, it may be possible. If the goal is to use XScreenSaver as the Wayland screen locker, XWayland won't solve that.
