[Post-Install] Firefox GPU high usage and stuttering

Hi, I installed a fresh installation of Kubuntu 26.04 and noticed that when I use Firefox it lags and stutters; it’s not smooth at all when I scroll. In System Monitor it also shows that GPU usage constantly goes up to 30%–50% while I’m scrolling through web pages. Has anyone had a similar problem, and how can I fix it? Thanks.

My spec: Ryzen 2600, 16gb ram and rx 5500 xt 4gb.
Monitor is Samsung 144hz. Display settings in kubuntu shows 143.98hz though, don't know why.

There is currently an issue with the 7.0 kernel which causes the stuttering which should be fixed then it's updated, until then you can use the Mainline tool below to grab the latest 7.0.9 kernel:-
