    [Post-Install] Kubuntu 26.04 installer bugs

    Hello everyone,
I've tried installing Kubuntu on two machines: an Asus Intel laptop and an HP AMD desktop.
There is a lot of bugs about ubiquity installer

The problems I've encountered are as follows:

    ISO 24.04.2 installs successfully.

ISO 24.04.3 installs, at some point, with no CPU or I/O activity, and never finishes.
ISO 24.04.4 installs and immediately displays the message "Python Failure, invalid Python script".
ISO 26.04 installs successfully on the Asus machine, but on the HP machine, I get an error message, and the error report fails. What should I do?

I can imagine the frustration of people who can't install Windows 11 and are trying to switch to Linux!

    Have a good day.

I would first check the sha256sums on the isos you have. Just ask if you don't know how to do that.

For the HP, some details might help. What hardware, especially GPU? What type of install? 26.04 uses an installer called calamares, and I find it crashes for some install parameters. The error message it gives, before the attempted error report, might be useful.

        What message exactly?
Windows no longer obstruct my view.

Some more details could be helpful to actually solve your installation problems, e.g all the steps you took, what kind of hardware exactly did you try to install on (make, exact model, CPU, GPU, etc.)?
The more information you can provide, the more likely it is that someone can help you.

I have honestly never experienced a situation where Kubuntu 24.04.2 installs without issues on a machine, but all subsequent releases do not - this is strange indeed…

What happens if you install Kubuntu 24.04.2 and full-upgrade the system afterwards so it becomes 24.04.4?
