[Desktop] Strange screen border behaviour with 2 screens - how to switch that off?

    Hi all,
I just switched from Kubuntu 24.04 to 26.04.
Now I have a problem with app windows and even the mouse pointer, since they show an obsessive kind of megnetism or sticking to the screen border when coming close or touching it.

I tried all kind of buttons in my System settings to get rid of that, but nothing seem to help.

Since I have a loptop plus a normal screen with different resolutions, this drives me completely crazy when moving programs or trying to resize the windows while it keeps trying to jump to the borders.

Keeping moving does not help. It needs a certain velocity to pass the obstacle, making it often impossible to position or resize a window exactly.

With 24.04 and KDE 5.27 I did not experience it as a problem.
The sole mouse pointer was not attracted by screen borders at all.
When dragging a window, just a tiny little snap occured, but it was so soft and litte, that it was nearly inrecognizable.

Does anyone know how to set this, so that it behaves like 24.04 KDE?
Thanks a lot for all hints

    AI Overview

KDE Plasma allows you to control how windows snap to screen borders, other windows, or corners, largely managed through KWin (the window manager). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

    Key Settings Locations (System Settings)
    • Window Snap Zones: Navigate to System Settings > Window Management > Window Behavior > Movement. Here you can set the "snap zone" for screen borders, other windows, and the screen center.
    • Toggle Snap Off: To disable screen edge snapping, set the "Screen edge snap zone" to 0px.
    • Screen Edge Functionality: For broader control over what happens at screen edges (like tiling or maximizing), go to System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Screen Edges.
    • Window Tiling (Plasma 5.27+): Press Meta (Windows Key) + T to activate the advanced tiling editor, which offers customizable snap zones and layouts.

Thank you very much, that finally worked
I tampered around with these settings already, but seem to haven't hit the right button.
