I've been updating all computers in the house to from 25 to 26. Protocol is to get rid of the old .config and use sudo do-release-upgrade -d. I preformed the upgrade to the kitchen computer last week. Yesterday the kitchen computer was acting a bit strange and I couldn't figure out why. Then last evening I saw it, the computer was back to version 25. I have two partitions for Kubuntu, one for home and one for root. So I killed .config and issued the command sudo do-release-upgrade -d. Followed all requests and 26.04 was installed again. How and why could this have ever happened? I have a launchpad that would not work last night and I think it was installed when I installed Brave. The new install didn't mark it as something I would want to be part of the sources and I haven't marked it to do anything. I did have to mark Brave to update. Is this even possible?
