[System] Strange automatic typing/scrolling repetition while typing or using mouse

    1. It's a bit awkward to explain but for example when I write text in any text app or in this browswer there may come a moment, randomly apparently, when I type a text for example and suddenly the last letter starts repeating over and over and it just goes on unless I do something to stop it, with the keyboard or mouse.
    2. I may even delete a letter at the end of a word, and then it starts to delete everything backward until I manage to stop it.
    3. Even if I use enter it may start scrolling down automatically in the same way as if enter was pressed over and over. Can't remember if it also happens with the wheel of the mouse. I wouldn't swear on it.
    4. When I write text and I move the right and left arrows to move the blinking vertical text inserter (to give it a name), it may start to move in the same direction forever unless I stop it or it reaches the end of the text.

Probably there are more example but that's what I can remember. It did not happen when I used Kubuntu 24.04 but it did after I moved to Kubuntu 26.04, although it proves nothing. Thanks for your help in advance.

Two things come to mind. 1) your keyboard is dirty (under the keys) and have a tendency to 'stick' when pressed. 2) you have inadvertently turned on Sticky keys. To check for this, launch System Settings and search for Sticky keys. The setting is found in Personalization > Accessibility on 24.04 and in Input & Output on 25.10. I'm not yet running 26.04, so I don't know where you'll find it there, but the search will find it. If Sticky keys is enabled, just disable it. If Sticky keys isn't enabled, then, again, the highest likelihood is your keyboard is dirty and needs a good cleaning.
Windows no longer obstruct my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

I checked it under Acessibility/Modifier Keys/Sticky Key/Enable and it wasn't, enabled so I guess your first hypothesis was right. Maintenance required. The good thing is that it's most probably not a software issue. Thanks snowhog!
