Is FF running when you try this? Does it persist after closing everything down, checking that there are no stray FF instances still running (system monitor) or rebooting?

Maybe none of us have ever seen this.

Some do prefer to replace the FF Snap with a deb.

I have never seen this myself; I do use the Snap on one system.

Ok, I reverted FF to the previous build, and I do see the message if I leave the browser running. Closing the browser allows it to refresh.
The FF Snap self-updates, so you don't necessarily need to manually do it.
