[RESOLVED] Problem adding module in Privacy and Security on Firefox

I have a problem logging in with the CIE (electronic identity card) via the bit4id minilector air v3 CIE reader using Firefox v147.0 on Kubuntu 25.10 (wayland). With Google Chrome everything works fine (it works perfectly), but in Firefox I need to add a module under Privacy and Security and then under Security Devices, as described on this site: https://idserver.servizicie.interno....ux_firefox.jsp
I followed the instructions step by step and entered the module name correctly, but when I specified the "libcie-pkcs11.so" file in the "/usr/local/lib/" directory and then confirmed with OK, it says "unable to add module" and changes the directory I specified to "/run/user/1000/doc/9bc2c4b1," where the same file, "libcie-pkcs11.so," is also located.
    Can you help me?

P.S.: Firefox is installed by default, no snap or flatpak and I use chrome as default

I've attached a screenshot of the problem.

Firefox is a Snap by default, unless you manually installed it. The use of /run/user points to you using the Snap version.
If you are NOT using the snap, this might be a Firefox/CIE issue more than an Ubuntu one.

    May be useful:

You *might* be able to allow smart reader access in the snap
    https://documentation.ubuntu.com/des...figure-firefox
The instructions may need to be modified to suit your setup, but possibly just enabling a connection to pcscdmight be all you need to do to allow you to select the file properly, as shown in the CIE instructions.

I confirm, I was convinced it wasn't the snap version because I had uninstalled it a while ago and then reinstalled it by downloading it from their website. What I didn't understand was why if I specify the location of the "libcie-pkcs11.so" file in the "/usr/local/lib/" directory, when I confirm with the "OK" button, it changes it to the "/run/user/1000/doc/9bc2c4b1" directory.
It means I'll continue using the device with Chrome. Thanks.

Because this is the "sandbox"," by default, Snaps and Flatpaks usually can't access file systems outside the user's home.

You need to make sure the deb from Mozilla takes precedence over Snap (step 5), so that an update doesn't bring the snap back.

Ho risolto disinstallando firefox versione snap e installando la versione .deb seguendo le istruzioni su gemini.
