    [Software] krfb/krdc - Desktop missing desktop on krdc conncetions if monitor not connected/active - KVM switched.

    So in testing out 25.10 to see the mess. The biggest serious bug I've got right now...

    The system is connected to a KVM as its in my "lab" for testing..

    The system has some cruddy on die ATI graphics, high video performance is not a consideration so this is fine, so it uses what drivers for that on die video needs. HDMI/USB KVM. This particular sysem has no VGA, or I'd try that via a different KVM, but thats not an option here.

    So KRDC is installed, setup, and I am doing some testing, setup, playing...

    I switch the monitor back to the main system, go back to use the remote via KRDC, and its black. Total black except a mouse pointer.

    So I play some more, and find that

    Its just the DESKTOP and KICKER that disappear if I switch the KVM to another system to work with it.

    IF I SWITCH the KVM back, it returns... Oh.. I've seen this nonsense , being too nosey about whats on the other end of the video cable, in something else.. kill off kscreen...ok... rinse repeat tests.. Welllp that makes an even bigger mess. Now switching back and forth from another system(s) will not return the kicker/desktop.Just the application window will stay.

    ANY APPLICATION that is running is FINE. You can work with it etc.. but the desktop and kicker nope. So you are pretty much stuck.

    Ok, lets try another sneaky trick and restart KDE

    I've got a little shell script with

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash

    systemctl --user restart plasma-plasmashell.service
    And thats a hard no joy on that.

    Well not being able to use a simple KVM with 25.10 AND Krfb/krdc is not going to fly.

    Plenty of other systems from 14.04 to 24.04 are on systems on the SAME KVM.. no issues.

    Any ideas on this mess

    Thanks.
