    [Software] kdeconnect remote input limited

I've set up an ex-windows 10 tiny PC to view Netflix and other streams, as the TV is too old to have Netflix support. The tiny PC sits next to the TV, and a keyboard and mouse by it, which is a couple of meters or so from where viewers sit. Enabled DRM in firefox and boom, 1080p Netflix.

It works surprisingly well using kdeconnect's "remote input" function, but the keyboard input is the android keyboard and has no Esc, or Back, or F11, and backspace doesn't work. Right-click helps. And, sometimes plasmashell gets stuck and I can't exit the currently running show.

This is a fresh install with very little changed, just obvious things like turning off sleep and increasing the size of the cursor.

Can anyone suggest an alternative to kdeconnect? Any other tips and pointers?

Have you tried a different keyboard on your phone? I know that can be annoying, though. Switching between them might not be overly handy if the pc friendly keyboard sucks on mobile.

I know connectbot for ssh connections on mobile has some custom keyboard options for f-keys. I'll take a peek later on.

Not aware off the top of my head for alternative options for this. I'm sure there are.

To continue... worried about electricity usage leaving the tiny PC on all the time, I hunted down an old meter I've had for years, and it said 8 W, even when streaming. Surely not; maybe the power is down at the limits of the meter's accuracy, and the power factor shows as 40%.. The box is a Lenovo Thinkcentre M910g.
