[Post-Install] Impossible to wake from sleep

Any one with 25.10 and AMD hardware have issues with the PC not coming out sleep?

I find my PC turns itself off if left unattended and I have no way to restart it other than holding the on button 4 secs. I tried disabling suspend and screen lock with no effect.

Build is ryzen 9600x, gigabyte b850m board and GPU is an AMD rX7800

The issue is not present in windows

I'm having the exact same issue. It was working fine then I got a new SSD and installed that, reinstalled kubuntu 25.1 and now suddenly having the issue. Came here to see if anyone else had the issue and saw your post. I signed up just to type this. Figured I may as well sign up at this point. I'm tempted to reinstall again but going back to the LTS version 24. I was having a other minor issue anyways but at least that one didn't really hinder my use of my PC. This issue does.

For reference, my specs:

Amd ryzen 5900x, x570 motherboard, 64gb memory, Radeon 6700xt, the SSD I just installed is a WD black 850x 1tb. There's 2 other ssds in there but the issue worked before while they were present.. an MSI and a Samsung 980 pro.


Edit: Also forgot to mention, I also have no issue in Windows (made a point to test that), and my computer doesn't seem to fully go to sleep. I notice the light on my cooler stays on although the keyboard and mouse do go off. But when I attempt to wake it, keyboard and mouse come back on but monitor won't. Says no signal.

Second edit: I just tried booting from a live image on 25.1 and have the issue. I tried booting 24.04.3 from a live image and it did NOT have the issue so therein lies our issue somewhere in 25.1 specifically.

I have turn off screen after 10min enabled. Sometimes I have to unplug the DP cable to get it back up.
