[SOLVED] Virtual Keyboard missing in SDDM at login

I performed a fresh install of 25.10 today. When pressing the “Virtual Keyboard” button in the bottom-left corner, no keyboard appears.
I remember 24.10 had the same problem. Is there any fix for this?

I managed to get the popup keyboard working. The plugin for QT virtualkeyboard was deleted when performing the upgrade from 25.04 --> 25.10. And it is also not installed when performing a fresh install of Kubuntu from the latest ISO image.

To FIX the problem you only need to reinstall the qt6-virtualkeyboard-plugin again.

    Code:
    sudo apt install qt6-virtualkeyboard-plugin

Since SDDM (the default login manager) is running X11 and Kubuntu plans to drop all the X11 stuff in favor of Wayland I can see why they did not include qt6-virtualkeyboard-plugin package. Does anyone know if there is work on a Wayland alternative?
