Re: Mozilla Giving Last Notice to 3.6 Upgrades, When Will Kubuntu Users Have One?
Are you using ubuntuzilla? http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawik...e#Installation
I believe 3.6 is available. Ubuntuzilla installs the official mozilla build of firefox/thunderbird. What you have if you have what's stock on kubuntu is the ubuntu build which is not the most recent by a long shot.Home: Kubuntu 12.04-amd64; Intel i7-860 on Intel DH55PJ; Nvidia 9500GT; 6GB RAM
Network Slave: Xubuntu 11.10-x86; Intel P4-Prescott on MSI; 2GB RAM; Nvidia FX5200
Portable: Xubuntu 11.10-amd64; Asus EeePC 1015PEM

Or if you want the daily build, add this repository.
Run
Code:sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa
Then run
That should upgrade you to "Namaroka".Code:sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

The one provided by the PPA is Namoroka/3.6.2pre for Firefox and for Thunderbird it's Shredder/3.0.4pre.
BTW, upgrading to Thunderbird 3 is worth it just to get the Lightning extension.
