Hi, I saw there was another topic on this when I did a forum search, but when I went to reply it said it had been over 120 days since anybody posted in that thread and to consider starting a new one... LOL So here I am. I used to play at full-tilt all the time when I used Windows but haven't in a long while since I switched to linux exclusively. I have not used Wine at all so I am very new to it, I installed wine via command line, then I downloaded the Full Tilt installer and I clicked on the full tilt installer to install via wine. Thats process seemed to go very easily. Though now when I go to wine and click on full tilt to run it, nothing happens... I get the bouncing cursor, and then I get a notification in the taskbar that says full tilt poker like it is trying to run, and then nothing happens at all and it does not start up at all and the notifier in the task bar just disapears... Is there something that I have done wrong or a step I didn't take?

Re: Full tilt poker in wine?

May be a menu setting problem.

Open a Konsole. cd to ~/.wine and in that subdirectory search for the exe file for that game. Enter:

 wine whateveritis.exe

Re: Full tilt poker in wine?

Just FYI... PokerStars works about 95% via wine, if you get stuck getting Full Tilt to work. The only issues I have with PokerStars is the window won't resize and you can't hover over an opponent to see their stack total.

But, you should be able to get it working:

Hi and thanks for the help, I tried to enter the command line that you suggestedOriginally posted by GreyGeekMay be a menu setting problem.

 wine whateveritis.exe
and I came back with this error codeCode:cd to ~/.wine ..... so this means that wine is not recognized in my system? But I can get to it through applications>Wine>Full Tilt Poker.Code:bash: cd: to: No such file or directory

A little confusing since I have not used Wine before I guess,

I might try them, I still have some $$ in my Full Tilt account though, I don't want to just abandon it.Originally posted by kjjjjshabJust FYI... Re: Full tilt poker in wine?

 My fault!

I was giving a description of a command, not the command itself. You'd think a teach with 18 years experience would know better!
