Adobe Reader and Firefox - a tip

If anyone has adobe reader installed and has trouble viewing pdfs from within firefox, my suggestion is that you uninstall the repository .deb file and install the .bin file from the adobe website instead.

Put simply the ubuntu adobefirefox plugin doesn't seem to work whereas the one from the adobe site does.

Seems a bit quicker too, but as I've not timed it, that could be an illusion.

I suspect it might not be universal. My problem was it didn't work for me at all, and the site in question (The UK HM Revenue & Customs) requires the acroread plugin to load so as to save the document, which in this case was my Tax Return

Kind of important for me to get it working and this provided a fix.
