    mmm... That dialog is not present in the 0.62.7 version of Synaptic on the 64bit Karmic. Probably an oversight by the dev crew.

(well...325 of them, anyway) I thought you could limit the selection by choosing your region, but that must not be true. Presumably the one selected is the fastest one with the least dropped packets, given the current 'traffic' conditions on the net. From here in Alaska, it chose Oregon.
      Yes, I tried it again and does the same thing.
