Kopete Sound Notification Problem

Kopete works great except for the sound notifications.

Most sounds files get clipped after playing about 50% resulting in a chocking sort of effect.

Anyone else experiencing this?



Using Kubuntu x64 v9.10 with all current updates.

i get that with my k3b sounds (error / success) but all my other sounds work just fine , so do the k3b sounds if i play the file(s) in a music player.

Exact same situation here too. ALL other sounds work flawlessly except those in Kopete.

Same here, Is Kopete still being worked on actively? The website seems very out of date!

Hope they are not going to abandon it. I like the program apart from the small issue with the sound though esthetically it was more pleasing under KDE 3.5
