    Strange new video behaviour

Since upgrading my ancient laptop (Intel graphics see below) to Karmic last weekend I have a wierd problem, if I start mythfrontend after a reboot the menus display fine but video (whether live or recorded) is compressed into a narrow vertical strip about 2 inches wide. Oddly if I go to System Settings>Display>Size & Orientation, apply then remove any rotation or mirror settings, then use mythfrontend video displays fine.

It's not the end of the world but is a bit of a PITA, I don't know where to start but will post any info you ask for.

    Code:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Strange new video behaviour

Until, and if, the Intel driver issue gets resolved, Intel GPUs (some, not all) are problematic in Karmic.

Thanks for the reply Snowhog, your post implies there are known issues which hopefully will get sorted. In the mean time as a workaround is there a terminal command I could run at startup or login which would do the rotate/mirror thing I currently have to do through System settings?
