How do we upgrade?
Is it available already in the Kubuntu repository or is there a PPA for this?

Normally if a ppa is required, the instructions will be found here in a day or two: http://www.kubuntu.org/

But I would think it will be in the standard backports repo (karmic-backports) soon - maybe.

Is that safe? I would guess it will be in staging until it gets tested, and then it will be put in the regular ppa and announced in Kubuntu.org, no?

I mean, the Warning in the PPA description is pretty obvious:

This is where we build and stage the packages for final release, so this will never have usable packages.

Yep, either that, or wait until they put it in the regular backports place. Apparently there are plans for that, for what the ppa description says ... I am not sure what the time frame is. Maybe that's why there is still no official announcement in kubuntu.org

I installed KDE 4.3.3, no problems. KMail seems to work better.

KDE 4.3.3 seams finy hear to

used Kpackagekit to add the deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu karmic main
to my sorse list and click update then check the updates and thar it show's 111 updates click select all and aply and now I'm on KDE 4.3.3 no problem's at all even did a reboot to be shure........lol
