I found this bug reported in Gutsy and Hardy and left open.
Downloading the extra recommended packages for K3B which now includes support for burning Blueray BTW,
I noticed that System Monitor > Network History was showing 32.0 kB / second, while my network connection is only 16 kB / second. I've been using apt-get update every day and I know the speed hovers around 14 to 16, so the report of 32 was a surprise, exactly twice the correct speed as confirmed by KPackageKit at the same time.
Anyone else noticed this in Karmic?
