Upgraded to Karmic / Network all messed up

Greetings, I just upgraded to Karmic and network manager is no longer able to join wired or wireless connections now.

Under 'Ethernet" it shows 'not updated' and for ip address it shows dum.my.ip.addr and unable to connect via Ethernet.

Under wireless it shows active wireless networks but I am unable to join them as well.

Both wire and wireless were working prior to upgrade, my priority is just to get Ethernet working with my home switch.

Thanks for you help in advance!

Have you rebooted since the upgrade?
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007

You could try renaming the following hidden folder (so when you open dolphin you'll need to select view/show hidden files)

          /home/.kde/share/config.

Rename it - don't delete it. Then reboot or logout and back in and you will have a fresh desktop. Hopefully your network will now work too on the assumption that there was a conflict in the original settings.
