[Solved] Login on Kubuntu now goes to Ubuntu/Gnome desktop

I installed some software package a day or 2 ago, and today just rebooted my laptop. The login screen and flash screen is KDE, but when it boots, it goes to Gnome (I did not intentionally install the Gnome desktop).

What can I do to get KDE back again?

On the "greeter" -- the screen where you log in -- there's a menu. If you click that, you should find an ability to log into KDE.
