    Grub Error 22 (SOLVED)

    Hi,

In sunny downtown Buxton (UK) we suffered a power loss last night. I was just installing the latest Linux headers when it went and now get the above error on booting up.

I've looked at numerous 'solutions' to this but most relate to dual booting with windoze. Well I've got Kubuntu and nowt else.

Any offers as to what to do?

I'm using my 2nd hard disk with the live disk to communicate soooo the original system is safe on sda (backed up on sdc).

Thanks for any advice even what key to hammer to get into Grub!

    Re: Grub Error 22

Download the Super GRUB2 Disk 1.30 iso and burn it. Boot it and choose the second ">2" option for GRUB2 (not menu.lst). It will boot into your inaccessible installation. Then you can use Synaptic to reinstall all of the Grub files that are marked with a green check box. Then reboot without the CD. http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...2348#msg222348
