The problem with trying to 'test - run' a Kubuntu LiveCD is going to be your memory (RAM). If you can in anyway increase it to even 512Mb you (should) be able to run it without any problems.

yeah, i guess i should better upgrade coz i really wanna remove my windows OS on my pc... i know it won't cost my much it's just that i dont have time to do so...

I recently installed a quit workable Ubuntu with the LXDE desktop http://lxde.org/ on a PIII with 128MB RAM, it should work a treat on your system 8)

I started by installing a basic (command line) system from the alternate CD and then using apt-get:

sudo apt-get install lxde

I just found an interesting looking ubuntu tweak in WattOS which might also be suitable - depends on whether you're plugged in most of the time or you're after an efficient system for maximum battery life.
