    Re: boot error

    guys returning to this problem because it has been made worse by my upgrade to lucid I have altered my menu.lst in debian but it is still hunting around for the right partition to boot from and I am getting input output errors as I boot

      when the system boots it displays its going to hd 0,4 and then it displays the same message again as it seems to loop and then find itself then it displays a page of input output errors
