    Core Dump

Installed Karmic last night as upgrade from jaunty, all seemed to go OK and it "works" but I keep getting warning dialogues coming up on log on "Your Kernel has suffered serious failure" or words to that effect. I have clicked the notify bug button but it seems it is a well known problem.

My query though is this - there must be loads of core dumps scattered around somewhere but I can't find them to delete them. I begrudge disk space to files I do not need. I have used the search tool as "Super User" searching for *core*.* and gets lots of results but not it seems a core dump.

Is there such an animal on the locked down Kubuntu?

    cheers

    Re: Core Dump

I think I've read Ubuntu has since at least over a year some automatic clean up function for things like core dumps.

Oh! I did not know that. Thanks.

It certainly ties in with my search result of nil
