    Joypad as mouse? [SOLVED]

I have a generic logitech joypad, which KDE picks up automatically and calibrates with no problem in System Settings.

Is there any way to use this as a pointing device (as a mouse, basically)?

There doesn't seem to be any simple options in System Settings to enable it.

I used to do this using qjoypad, but with limited success, it would be great if it was handled by KDE directly.

    Thanks.

Well, just ot answer my own query, qjoypad is the most effective means I could find.

    http://qjoypad.sourceforge.net/

You need to make sure you have installed the libqt4 libraries before it will compile, but it's been recently updated and does its job fairly well.

Turns out using a joypad as a mouse isn't easy though. Precision control is much more difficult and not very satisfying. Perhaps with practice...
