Flash content/video intermittently working

I have Kubuntu 9.04 with FF3.0 as well as flash 10 (from a "sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree"). However, sometimes flash content can load, and sometimes it just does this:

The big gray box- exactly the size of whatever flash content is supposed to be displayed- doesn't open a menu when right-clicked and can't be selected like an image (or flash object).

It also appears to depend on the content itself- for instance, on a particular website, some banner ads display and some don't.

I'm not sure exactly when the problem started.

i seam to have the same issue with ff3.5 and the flash non free (flash 10).
sometimes flash just stops working and then i restart firefox and it works again.
