    Solved - getting mcopidl

    Hi folks,

I am trying to install ape (i.e. monkey's audio) support for k3b and it appears that the only way to do this is by building a tarball. The configure script throws up an error on not finding 'mcopidl'. I have ascertained that mcopidl is part of the libarts1 package.

I have libarts2 installed, and libart-dev. On trying to install anything hinting at libart1 (i.e. libarts1c2 & libarts1-xine) I get the following error:-
    > Package libarts1c2 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
    > This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
    > is only available from another source

I have all Jaunty repositories enabled.

I am running the AMD64 version.

    Any thoughts?
    Cheers, kimdino

    Re: getting mcopidl

Please ignore my previous post. On getting the ape & its cue file on to a local partition I found that k3b already had ape support. I should have known from past experience that was has to be the greatest burning software on any platform just gets on with whatever may be required without a fuss.

I ave also learnt that the reason libarts is obsoleted is because KDE4 doesn't use arts.

    Thanks, Kimdino
