cannot run java program in kubuntu 9.04

i have installed kubuntu 9.04 and sun-java6 (bin and jre) . when i try to open the "JDownloader" software the java program shows an error and exits. can anyone tell me something about that.

the error i got is that:
Application Error
Unable to launch the application

Did you installed it from some repository or went to the site and downloaded the program? If so, did you followed the install instructions?
