Nepomuk does not seach for tags

I enabled Nepomuk on my machine (but no Strigi, as it gives me an error...).

However, Nepomuk should enable file tagging and rating, right? I tried to tag some files in my home directory, then I typed the same tag in Krunner, but it opens a dolphin window with the correct nepomukseach, but with no results...

    Is it working for you?

    Thanks a lot

      Thanks for the link!

I knew the fix, but I was waiting for it to be fixed in one of the next versions...
Why do I need Strigi to search for a tag? Isn't it something provided by the semantic desktop (Nepomuk)? Isn't Strigi supposed to do the job of retrieving information from the files content?

Well - you don't need the Strigi. The Part I (with the alpha-5) is about the Strigi. The Part II is about tags search (with the Final). I have a new clean installation and i haven't enabled the Strigi (maybe later).

With the Redland, tag search => high cpu load + no results
With the Sesame (+symlink), tag search => seems to work.

Did you log out&in (to reset the nepomuk) after the installation of sesame ? Maybe there was a orphaned nepomuk/strigi process ?

Re: Nepomuk does not seach for tags

In now works, meaning that I can type Alt-F2, then type a tag, and I get the option of searching for that tag. Great!

The only thing that still cannot fix is the sound of krunner... as I type the first letters, I get a sound notification at each letter....
Do you all have the same behaviour?

            Thanks

I haven't. Have you tried the System Notification Configuration ?

                Thank you for replying!
                What should I look for?
I mean, some notifications are set for different applications, but Krunner is not listed, and I cannot understand why it is "beeping" (it's more like a DOING)

For example, starting from an empty Krunner, typing some letters makes it sound, some others instead do. Is there a way to run krunner from the command line and see if something is printed?

--help says krunner [Qt-options] [KDE-options].... any idea?

                Thanks

Do you have System Notifications > Event source: KDE System Notifications > Textcompletion: Partial Match on ?

It has a "DOING" sound /1/ when typing text at the KRunner. A "DOING" for each letter - really annoying.

                  /1/ /usr/share/sounds/KDE-Sys-List-Match-Multiple.ogg
