    M-Audio Driver Search, help needed

Hello to all. I am newbie here.
I am on Kubuntu 9.04 x64. Where can I find M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 x64 driver for it?
I search internet, searched M-Audio official site, and they said, that the drivers for Linuxes are on opensound.com and I found nothing there.
    Please, who can help?

Basically, you must go by the ALSA project and their drivers. The M-Audio page is here:

    http://www.alsa-project.org/main/ind...:Vendor-MAudio

Find your model of card, and that page will tell you the driver module that is required. Put that driver module in /etc/modules and restart the system. You can see that is loaded with
    Code:
    lsmod
    Install alsa-base, alsa-oss, alsaplayer-alsa, alsaplayer-common, and alsamixergui.

Then you may find you need to fiddle with channel settings in alsamixergui. Test it with alsaplayer.

      Thanks very much.
I find my model, but unfortunately can't find where can I download the driver.
Maybe I am dull, but there is an information only.

Your module may well already be included with Kubuntu.

Follow this down to #4: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=205449

At #4, try modprobing your module snd-card-ice1712

From M-AUDIO's web sight, and a search of linux drivers for your sound card, the result was no linux driver. See: Drivers and Software Search

Where on their site did you find info as to a driver on opensound.com?

Okay. Yes, found it as well.

You are running on a 64-bit platform? If 'yes,' then you want this .deb file (OSS for linux_26_amd64_deb)
and then follow the oss-install instructions.
