Internet sharing - Why is this so hard?

    Hello!
    (I apologize for my English).

    I have 2 computers.
The first computer is connected to the Internet through ETH0.
How do I Share Internet on a second computer through the first.

(may have a way to do this without using Proxy SQUID)

Someone else will no doubt answer this more authoritatively soon, but you have to configure the computer which is connected to the internet as a gateway. It needs to have two network cards - eth0 and eth1. Then you can plug the second computer into that one.

This, however is not the common solution to this situation because using a router is very much easier and comes with many benefits. At the price of routers nowadays, I really recommend that you go that route instead.

FYI: the common cheap routers (around $30 here) come with a built in 4 port switch which means that all you need to do is plug in up to 4 computers and they will automatically be connected to the net. Routers also have built in firewalls.

      I'll go buy a router.
      Thanks.
