    Kubuntu 9.04 LiveCD and wifi connection

    s it possible to make it play?
    I am really a newbie, my problem is I can't find a tray icon and connect to the wifi.
    I am sure the wifi card is recognize from the liveCD, in the network manager at wireless connection section i can make a scan and put my wifi connection, but then nothing change: when opening web browser nothing happens (i figured that pop up a window for inserting password) if i try to insert manually the password in the wireless network manager, seems that is not stored so what i did was:
    -Gone to network manager-->Wireless
    -Made a scan that sucesfully revealed my wifi connection (protected with WPA-PSK) and selected it (all the other fields stay unchanged)
    -Put tick to "automatically connect"

    Can someone list me the action to do??
    Thanks in advance and sry for my crap english

    solved! After web surfing with wired connection, the try icon for wifi connection management appeared by itself, then was a joke to connect

      the network manager in kubuntu JJ is known to be psycho... if installing to hd, do use wicd.
