    [FIXED] NFS currently broken

I noticed this problem about two weeks ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ls/+bug/306016 (& dupe https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ux/+bug/306343).

I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it here (though it surely affects anyone mounting NFS shares w/Jaunty), but thought I would throw this note out anyway - as a caveat/help for anyone considering upgrading to the alpha. This is probably the largest functional problem I know of at the moment (which means the alpha's going pretty smooth <g>).

Basically, if you're going to mount NFS volumes with the present kernel, you have to use the nolock option.

BTW - thought I'd post an update saying that this is now fixed. The recently updated packages (probably portmapper) corrected the issue.
