Pinnacle PCTV nano stick 73e doesn't show up

    Hi,
I have a notebook with Kubuntu Jaunty installed and that Pinnacle stick works out of the box.

Now I#M trying to set up a media server, also with Kubuntu Jaunty.
When I plug in the stick all the drivers and modules seems to load but the Stick doesn't show up in Kaffeine. (The DVB menu item is missing.)
I have no idea where to look for the error.

    Any hint will be appretiated.

This is the output of /var/log/messages when the stick is plugged in:
kernel: [ 973.484073] usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
    kernel: [ 973.617807] usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

Atlas kernel: [ 974.902706] usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_dib0700

After the stick is plugged in, lsmod | grep dvb shows:
    dvb_usb_dib0700 42376 0
    dib7000p 25096 2 dvb_usb_dib0700
    dib7000m 22916 1 dvb_usb_dib0700
    dvb_usb 24332 1 dvb_usb_dib0700
    dvb_core 92032 1 dvb_usb
    dib3000mc 20488 1 dvb_usb_dib0700
    dib0070 15748 2 dvb_usb_dib0700

The device also seems to be there:
    # ls -lR /dev/dvb

    /dev/dvb:
    insgesamt 0
    drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 120 2009-06-06 02:53 adapter0

    /dev/dvb/adapter0:

    crw-rw---- 1 root video 212, 7 2009-06-06 02:53 net0

Strange thing: Even before the stick is plugged in the following modules are already loaded:
    dvb_ttpci 107340 0
    dvb_core 92032 1 dvb_ttpci
    saa7146_vv 55680 1 dvb_ttpci
    saa7146 26120 2 dvb_ttpci,saa7146_vv
    ttpci_eeprom 10240 1 dvb_ttpci

I don't understand where these modules are good for. My notebook doesn't have these.

Solved: Pinnacle PCTV nano stick 73e doesn't show up

    Crazy!
I looked 3 hours for the error, then posted my post here and after that I got the idea :-)
I have to be member of the group video to access the device. The 'ls' in my first post shows it clear.

    Thanks for reading :-)
