KDE 4.2 Widgets behaviour : could not find the requested component [SOLVED]

    Hi all,
today I have open a ticket 182379 in the bugs.kde.org
    https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=182379
because after the installation of KDE 4.2.0 I am experiencing some troubles with the "plasmoid" in my desktop.

Do you think that it is something related to my environment or with the kubuntu packages?

I just want to know if anybody is experiencing the same issues.

Shall I close the bug in the bug-track

See the attachment for more info!

    Thx

    Nicola

PS: funny... the spell-check tool of this forum does not recognize the word KDE

I had the same problem, just installed kdeplasma-addons and they are working for me now.

Re: KDE 4.2 Widgets behaviour and support: could not find the requested component

        Thank you very much...

        Now it works!

        Code:
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
         libkipi0 mpg123 libmpg123-0 libkdcraw3
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:
         libkexiv2-7
The following packages will be REMOVED:
         digikam kipi-plugins libkexiv2-3
The following NEW packages will be installed:
         kdeplasma-addons libkexiv2-7
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 3 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

It looks like the dependences in the upgrade are not 100% correct!

        Thank you!

        Nicola

I know this topic is old. However, I encountered the same error with Kubuntu 9.10 beta.
The fix above apparently didn't work at first, but after a reboot (maybe a restart of X would have sufficed), and everything was in order.

It seems the underlying problem about dependencies handling is still not fixed.
