So I've decided to look into having my news read to me, instead of tiring my eyeballs, just for fun really.
I've got KTTSD working to a point, using festival, but it will never complete an utterance, and gives no error messages.
Given a simple sentence like "This is a complete sentence." ktts will get as far as "This..." maybe, before stopping. Longer sentences will give longer results, but it's never more than about 80% of what should actually be said.
Testing festival separately from the command line shows that the problem isn't there, and looking at the Jobs tab of the configuration dialogue for kttsmgr shows that the full text is being input (it appears in the "Current sentence" box complete). is this just a bug with kttsd? Or is there some setting that I can fiddle with somewhere?
