Error Cannot open theme file@@@ToBeReplacedByDesktopBase&&&

As the abstract title says, when I log on after updates today I get the above message & then dropped to shell. Any thoughts or has anyone seen this?

BTW O/S is Intrepid (no surprises there) DE is Kubuntu/KDE4

Intrepid Ibis and KDE 4. Now that's living on the edge.

I make no guarantee that my post here can be followed exactly - I don't know if the directory structure under KDE 4 is the same - but it did work when I lost my KDM theme.

Thanks snowhog, I can now log in I now have to find where to change the logon page to something closer to the KDE4 look than the KDE 1 or 2 logon I have linked to lol

After editing /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc, there should be:

Theme=/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/oxygen

Have had 24 hours of KDE bliss with no big problems! would be nice to have the adept crashing problem fixed & maybe the root password problem with synaptec & adept fixed as well.
