    Network manager never automatically connects

    Hi Guys, I just moved over from Ubuntu 8.10 and now using Kubuntu 8.10 and I have one small issue.

    Whenever I start up the system the network manager never automatically connects to my network. I have to keep clicking in the little world icon and connecting manually.

    Is there anyway to make the network manager connect to my network automatically upon logging in?

    did you check the auto connect check box in the network manager?

        Right click the green ball, choose Edit Connections, window will appear, select your connection, click Edit connection, then Next a couple of times, till you get the Autoconnect checkbox, select it and click on Save and then on close.

        That should be it.
        In a world without walls and fences - who needs windows and gates?
