Hello all. I'm having a problem getting this card to work on an IBM R31 laptop. I installed the madwifi drivers per this forum. But at last does not work. I also got rid if knetwork manager and installed wicd. The strange thing is you can sometimes see the network and when you do it's only 1% signal. I tell it to connect but it only does for about 5 secs then back to wired. Also how do I disable hardware in 8.10 KDE 4.1? I know there is a built in wifi card in this machine that may be interfearing with my pcmcia card. I think it is trying to connect using it's built in card which is supported autimatically I believe but it's only an 11 kps card. Thank you in advance.
