    Accidentally removed principal panel (solved)

Hey guys. I just isntalled KDE (used to work a bit on ubuntu) jus to check out the eye candy.
While i was about to get started i accidentally removed the principal panel (you know, the one with the K menu etc). Ive searched everywhere but i just cant find anything to get it back, this is REALLY annoying. >
I installed the kubuntu-desktop trough synaptic in my ubuntu account.

If i enter the command "kicker", nothing happens, in fact i just press enter on that command on alt+f2 but nothing happens. Same to kcontrol.

    PLEASE help.

    If i remember correctly..

    you have to unlock widgets..

then right click on the desktop...

    you can 'add new panel'

then you can add widgets on that ...

    hope this helps..

once i add the pannel it gets placed over the previous one (the one that goes standard on the top of the screen), and theres no taskbar icons either, i can make the K menu appear but , is there a way to restor the menu exactly as it comes on standard?

If you haven't done any customizing, one option would be this:

        ALT-F2
        kuser
        add a new user
        exit kuser, and start konsole
        rm -r .kde
        sudo cp -r /home/newusername/.kde .
        sudo chown -R yourusername:yourusername .kde

        logout & login.
That should restore the default panel, and everything else default as well.
