KDE 4.2 Upgread on KUBUNTU

Its giving error and corupting KDE while upgrading KED 4.2 on kubuntu.
i also tryed by downloading new ISO from the site. but didnt work.
some how i have repaired the KDE it seams its upgreaded. but key board not working after login in.

I have the same exact problem on my Asus eee 1000

I did a fresh install of Kubuntu 8.10, then installed the Array Kernel Interpid (this if for the eee's only). Restarted, did the updates and then afterwards followed the instructions on the Kubuntu.org site for upgrading to KDE 4.2.

Afterwards, I get the same problem...I can get into the 4.2 Desktop, but none of the keys (except for function keys) work. Also, I have no window borders either.

Would be great to get some help on this.

I just noticed also, that when I do step 3 from kubuntu intrepid - add signing key, it doesn't show up in Trusted software providers. Is there another command, or a way to import the key?
