    kde 3.5


    can kubuntu 8.10 be instaled with kde 3.5?

    kde 4.xx is a long way from ready for serious use but i do like kubuntu.

    I'm pretty sure that it can't, but what is wrong with using Hardy (3.5.10)?

      "installed" - No. Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex is strictly KDE 4.1.x. However, if you search this Forum, I believe someone has put together a repository that contains customized KDE 3.5.x packages for use in Intrepid.

      See howto use kde3 in intrepid?

        If i may say, Snowhog, i added that repository then <updated>, then <Full Upgrade>, and it wanted to remove lots of stuff, Quanta included.

        If i tried to leave Quanta in, it would be <broken>.

        So i removed the repo. I did inform the person involved.
