    Quickcam on 8.10

    I have to say that things like media do not work to well on 8.10. i'm supprised that the quickcam does not work when it does from 7.10 out of the box. did anyone get this working on this device?

    As a long time Debian user who came to Kubuntu at 8.10 I was surprised by that also. I have come to think that with the move to KDE 4 8.10 is something of a transition system. It might help to activate the backport repositories. I quickly upgraded to Jaunty and have found it to be quite good and improving daily. For an experienced user I think going to Jaunty might be a good idea. KDE4 is getting better every day. It takes a little getting used to but is very powerful.

      lets hope the next release is a bit more stable. otherwise i'll have to try ubuntu 8:10
