Hi all,
tempted by the new kde 4.x i moved to 8.10 last weekend. Unfortunately some problems appeared along the way. My major problem is kwin and x3100 ( intel driver ) issue. I simply cannot turn on any of the desktop effect, when i try to change anything in the system settings, i'm getting black screen with a cursor. I've found somewhere that it's because this option in kwinrc:
[Compositing]
Enabled=true
So, basically it's the case for me in kde 4.1.4 as well as in kde 4.2.x
Maybe some of you had similar problems, hopefully with some solutions
