Screen "blinks" with Firefox and nVidia 180.22 driver

I thought I got rid of this problem when I reinstalled my 180 driver when something similar occured.
    But it's back...
Also I tried to install 180 driver from repos, but it didn't do the trick it was even worse... So that's why I decided to reinstall the 188.22 driver.
Anyway my screen starts blinking when I use Firefox for a elongated period of time. Is this reproducible by others. Are there any newer drivers than 180.22?
    Thanks for help.

There's a 180.27 driver (a Beta) that is working fine on my 9600GT card.

I did the same thing as with the 180.22 install, but it says that there is API mismatch that driver is 180.27 and the kernel module is 180.22.
But the installer does compile a new kernel.
How do I remove the 180.22 kernel module? I tried the same thing as with the 180.22, but it dosen't work and I have no idea how the kernel-module is called.

1.install envy if you dont have it
          2.sudo envy
          3. press 2 to remove current driver
          4. now kde will start with some default driver

This way i got my driver deinstalled when kde wouldnt start.

Boot Recovery Mode. Choose "command line".

            Code:
            cd /
            Code:
            sudo rm -rf nvidia*
            Done.

Now install the 180.27 driver, and you should be good to go.

But there is no option command line in Recovery mode in none of them...
